The Willow Tree Cafe Gallery is a delightful haven nestled in the heart of vibrant Comber Square, Newtownards. This art cafe is not just about satisfying your hunger; it's a sensory experience trussed beautifully with creativity, comfort, and community.

As you step inside, you're welcomed by an ambience reminiscent of a cozy grandmother's kitchen with nostalgic decor and an inviting warmth. The cafe manages to balance its dual purpose as an art gallery seamlessly, with original artwork displayed throughout the space—each piece inviting you to immerse yourself in the artistic vibe.

At The Willow Tree, the coffee is not just a beverage; it’s a passionate brew crafted with skill and love. Choose from their extensive menu, including robust Italian Espresso, creamy Caffe Latte, or the richly textured Americano. For tea lovers, indulge in aromatic Herbal Teas that promise a soothing experience. And, of course, don’t miss out on the famed Hot Chocolate, which feels like a warm hug in a cup.

The food is equally impressive; imagine sinking your teeth into one of their homemade scones, fresh from the oven, or treating yourself to delectable tray bakes—each bite is a reminder of home, lovingly prepared by Carol and her sister. Customers rave about the sweet pancake stack, bursting with bananas and blueberries, perfect for breakfast or as an indulgent afternoon treat.

What truly sets The Willow Tree apart is the hospitality offered by Craig and his team. Patrons often remark on the friendly service, highlighting how the atmosphere makes you feel like part of an extended family. One customer, Hollie Buell, expresses her joy in finding this gem, appreciating not only the delicious breakfast but also the warmth of the staff. Mark H. unveils the charm of the small cafe, noting the unique aspect that the artist often serves you, blending art with culinary excellence.

For dog owners, there's even a little something special; pets are treated to a delightful 'pupachino'. As Stacey Cole suggests, this cafe is a splendid destination to sip the best coffee while enjoying homemade treats, all in a charming and welcoming environment.

Whether it’s a quick coffee break, a leisurely brunch, or simply a moment to appreciate local artistry, The Willow Tree Cafe Gallery is a treasured spot that promises not just great food but also a deeper connection with the community. Customers rave about returning time and again—it's more than a cafe, it's a place where memories are made over warm drinks and sweet treats. So happy we came across this restaurant. The staff and owner were friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts were delicious. Our son especially enjoyed the sweet pancake stack with bananas and blueberries. We couldn't resist buying some baked goods on the way out either.

A small cafe , art gallery on Comber Square. Seating for about 10 on soft seats and a few tall tables. Scones, traybakes, cake served here with the full cafe upstairs. The artist is usually the server and continues with his work in the rear studio area. His style of art can be seen and purchased from here.

This is a beautiful gallery cafe in the heart of beautiful Comber. What a delightful place to have scones/traybakes and tea or coffee. The owner Craig is so welcoming and the decor is amazing! Best Coffee about!! A lovely rich crema on coffee and decaf coffee! Second time we ve been and we ll keep coming back. Our dog was spoilt with his 'pupachino' which is cream! Definitely a top place to visit with or without your pooch. The paintings are fantastic too by Craig himself. Very talented guy. 5 stars!

I love The Willow Tree. It is like going to your granny's with its nostalgic decor and olde-worlde ambience. Carol and her sister cook and bake the best of home fare from a hearty breakfast to soup (with a spud) or delicious scones, buns and the dish of the day. The lentil soup is the best I've tasted. I am in The Willow Tree most weeks for my milky coffee! For me, the best thing of all, is that I can hear! No blaring music, no empty, modern acoustics - you can actually enjoy conversations which is why this is my favourite local meeting venue. One note - bring cash. If you want to pay by card you can do so downstairs in Carol's nephew's gallery but cash is better and you can leave a well deserved tip.

Huge portions, beautiful homemade food, brilliant local recommendations for travel, and devastated we didn't pay more attention and realise original artwork that we've been looking at since we've returned to Airbnb what a gorgeous local gem

I LOVED this place!! It's awesome! Loved the desserts we had, they were so delicious and light, tea was perfect! And the atmosphere was so lovely. I'm coming back again from America (New Jersey) just for the desserts!!!
